What is Minduflness?
Mindfulness is to be aware and observe the object as it is. The practice helps to bring our mind back to the body and get in touch with what’s going on in the present moment, within and around us. When we are present, we are no longer being attached to the past, or worrying about the future.
Practicing Mindfulness allows us to let go of right or wrong, good or bad, and to just be who we are. It is important that we observe with complete openness, without trying to add or remove anything. It is a passive and inclusive practice that you can do anytime, anywhere.
“The energy of Mindfulness helps us touch life deeply throughout the day, whether we’re brushing our teeth, washing the dishes, walking to work, eating a meal, or driving the car. We can be mindful while standing, walking or lying down; while speaking, listening, working, playing and cooking.” - Plum Village.
It is a practice that we can do anytime and anywhere.
