Mindful Breathing
Whether you are new or experienced in Mindfulness practice, mindful breathing is a very important practice. It is very simple, but very deep. Thich Nhat Hanh refers the breath as the bridge of our body and mind. Only when we are being present with the breath, our body and mind are connected.
To begin, we only need to be aware of our natural breath. When we inhale, we know that we are inhaling, when we exhale, we know that we are exhaling. We don’t need to control the breath or make it perfect, we simply just notice when it’s long or short, deep or shallow.
We all have a mindfulness seed inside. This is why we need to practice more often to give water and nourishment to that seed so that it can keep growing. I highly recommended to practice mindful breathing at least 5 mins per day. It is the best way to cultivate more Mindfulness and peace within us.
